I know a little about this old cemetery since many of my ancestors (back to my great grandparents )are buried there. The Ed & M Elvina (Richardson) Lorentz/ Lorence family of north Missouri settled in the area 1878 from Indiana, the couple had 3 small sons at the time, Willie, 3rd son was a baby. The couple had 12 child-ren total, 10 sons & 2 daughters all living to adulthood which was unusual for the day I think. This (sleepy little) township (population 167 I believe) is now called Lemons Missouri on MO Hwy 5 just off the intersection of 267th Street (a gravel road). The cemetery is just down the gravel road on the left about 1/3 mile. The old infirmary used to be across from it but is now abandon & falling in. The main entrance- gate made of ornate wrought iron was very nice & was only 3 yrs old, June 1999 until some one drove a large travel trailer to close to it & tore it up. I haven't had the time to check it out even though I've driven up there many times since for family reunions, funerals, etc..(I live in Kansas, 180 miles from Lemons). I'll try to upload the only picture I have of the gate, I'll try! Or take a new one this fall.
